Oh! Ok. Wear protective styles. I'm a black female as well and I keep my hair up unless I'm going out for a special occasion. I would recommend that you stop colour treating your hair and touch up your roots no more than every eight weeks. That is called stretching the relaxer. Depending on the texture of your hair, you can go months without relaxing it. If you find it to be manageable, wait a few months before touching up your roots. Wash and deep condition without fail every week. Research "stretching your relaxer" and also styles that you can rock when your hair is not at its most straight (like bantu knots, flexi rod curls, buns, etc). This is just an overview. Feel free to ask any additional questions, but youtube is the best place for this information as well as demonstrations :)
