See a dermatologist. There are a variety of treatments including topical (Retin-A, topical antibiotics) oral antibiotics and another medication called Accutane which is very effective but has a lot of side effects, so may not be right for you.
Toothpaste is USELESS and leaves scars!!! The best way to get rid of acne is to be ten years older! All teenagers get some form of acne because they are growing through a hormonal storm, which is adolescence. The answer truly is to eat real food and drink more water - fresh vegetables and fruit, much less meat and nothing sugary at all. An effective method you can use is to make up a Calendula Tea - a third of a cup of chopped up Calendula flowers (Marigold, Calendula officinalis) topped up with boiling water - cool and strain. Cleanse the affected area daily (cotton wool helps) and make up fresh Calendula Tea once a week. I suggest you book an appointment with a Naturopath, Herbalist or Homeopath and they will guide you towards a beautiful complexion.
Try this. Splash warm water on your face to loosen up the pores allowing dirt and oil to rise to the surface of the skin. Then splash cold water to contract the skin pores while also washing away most of the dirt and oil. Then tamp dry with clean towel. Don't use soap or rub face with towel. Any product you use is actually foreign material not natural to your skin. Touch your face as little as possible. Drinking lots of plain water also dilutes the oils of skin cells.
Wash your face every morning and night with an oil-free acne face wash to clean out the clogged pores, then dab on rubbing alcohol or witch hazel with a cotton ball. If you have a lot of acne, you can also buy some acne medication cream (found at any drug store) and apply directly on the pimples. Don't rub anywhere else but the pimples, otherwise you might get wrinkles. Hope it works for you!(:
Skin id it works. The go online to skinid.com and take the free survey. It tells you what’s going on in your skin and what products will work for you. Also try a change in diet some foods can cause acne and you should try to avoid them. good luck!
OMG Dude, dont listen to anyone else, if you have a serious problem with acne you have to see a dermotologist, everything else is the quick way out and it doesnt work or it will work it just wont be permanent, when I went to my dermotoligist he gave me a oral prescription and 3 topicals, I got ride of all my acne in two months. If its not that much acne then you can probably use a over the counter product. Please listen to me about the dermotologist so you dont have to go through what I went through.
what i use is in a piece of cushion like to take off your nail polish you put lemon juice and brown sugar or sugar and you rub it around your face cause both have lots of vitamins before you start put warm water to open your acne :D your face will become so soft try it for a month and it will work i got rid of all my acne bye!
Ask your doctor for something called Duac. You have to ask your doctor I think because where I am it is prescription only. It's about $60 per tube but it's worth it. Gets rid of acne in 2+ days literally.
I have fought with skin problems for years. I agree you should see a dermatologist, but a very good line of skin products I have found that I wish I had found sooner is Philosophy. I especially love the oxygen cleanser for clearing blackheads. It's a little pricier, but definitely worth it if you can afford it. I use the dermabrasion scrub and Purity every day to help keep my skin clear. QVC usually runs specials on their stuff if you try it and decide you like it.

I am a mother of 3. They all had acne. We went to dermatologists which didn't help it at all. I have purchased everything possible over the counter and they didn't work. I remembered a doctor telling me many years ago that vinegar was the best thing you could use to get rid of bacteria. I found a tube of "Acnomel" (over the counter) for $9 at Fruth Pharmacy. I had my kids put vinegar on a cotton ball and rub on their acne after they got out of the shower.....let it dry.....then put Acnomel all over and wear it to bed. Remarkable difference in 3 days!!!!!!!!
