Be honest .

Im already friends with someone in a wheelchair lol but if you want me to be honest if a person at school started my school and they were in a wheel chair i dont know if i would make and effort to be their friends. its really hard for everyone to be friends with people in wheelchairs. I know that i feel so bad when i say do you want to go play netball or do you want to go to the beach things like that.

Yes of course I does not matter how they look it's in the inside that does. They can't help it. I feel sorry for them but I hope they are happy.

um... yes... but might i also mention they would be highly afraid of me. because i would install a jetpack into the back of their wheelchair, climb into their lap with them, and we would both go for a ride down the interstate.

DUDE ! Could you make me onee ? xD
Report as
sure! but first i have to practice a bit more of my ninjitsu so i can get myself out of this irritating, 3-tentacle form i'm in right now. (sighs) this is why you listen to your sensei when they tell you to be careful when practicing ninjitsu. it might turn you into me. i had to learn the hard way, and im still one of the best in the Dark Class.

The fact that she/he is in a wheel chair doesn't stop me from treating him/her the same as everybody else and if she/he is a FRIEND, friends are supposed to have each others back :)

I have many friends in wheelchairs and I love every one of them. I volunteer at the Dorn VA hospital here in Columbia whenever I can. They are my super heroes.

Is there a point to this question? I mean seriously, you cant change who a person is by sittin em down in a wheelchair. If you were in a wheelchair, how would you want your friends to react? There is no differnce, I would absolutely be friends with them if said person was in a wheelchair. By the way I signed your quest book.

No problem! I had gallbladder problems and some ovarian cysts. I looked 'normal' on the outside, but I could get extremely sick, with no warning and the pain was out of this world. I had to quit my job because of it. I missed too many days and stress could even give me an attack. When I finally was able to get surgery, the doctor said I was as sick as I could be and would have soon had problems in my liver, which could be deadly. My gallbladder was really infected. It's something I dealt with for many years before finding out the problem. People would look at me and probably just think I was lazy or made excuses, because I always seemed to get sick. I'm so much better now since the surgery but I still have digestion problems and a lot of back pain and I feel like I'm always not feeling well whenever someone wants to hang out. So I can relate to you, even though our experiences are different. What part of Indiana are you in? I'm from Bloomington.
Report as
Searching- you're not too far from me!!! I live in Indiana too, Richmond Indiana.
Hope you're having more good days than bad. I soon will be in a wheelchair due to a severe back injury. At anytime I can be paralyzed from the waste down. I just live one day at a time. I haven't worked in over 7 years, it's depressing:(
Report as
I'm sorry to hear that Sadiesmomma. I haven't worked in over a year, myself. I do like being a stay at home wife, but it gets hard sometimes! Stress can really make me really sick, though. I'm kind of an anti-social person, honestly. Some social anxiety issues. I really feel bad when I have my depression moments and I pretty much ignore everyone in my life, except my husband. He's been a blessing to have or else I'd probably be in a much worse place or even dead. It was his job insurance that allowed me to have surgery. I hope things get better for you. It's cool you live nearby! (I've had to do wheelchairs at the store sometimes when walking became hard as the pain in my back could get really bad.)

A friend being stuck in a wheelchair would only make me care about them more. I spent 4 months in a wheelchair myself and turned into the most bitter @$$hole you could ever imagine meeting
My friends that did stick around for that, I can not thank enough
