Is a king snake a black snake or the same family in western p.a

A king snake is a brown colored snake, while a black snake isn't.

There different but there basically the same

Kingsnake is a type of colubrid snake. Most of these snakes have quite vibrant patterns on their skin. Black snakes are a non-venomous colubrid species that is found in North America.
