Why would you amp and subs work on a radio station but not with a cd?

I think your CD player is toast since everything else works fine when the radio is on. Get it check by a technician then try again.

they shouldn't do that. check the deck settings

If the radio works everything must be hooked up correctly. Is it possible the cd player itself is bad?
