Depends on what you mean. Every church has basic overhead costs that need to be covered. Mortgages and utilities and insurances, gas and repairs for those who have bus ministries, various outreach ministries that need support, and salaries and insurance for employees, etc. True a few churches go ridiculously overboard in the salary dept but pastors and support staff have families to feed and their own bills to pay so they dont work for free. In some small churches the pastors have to have a second job to stay afloat. Sadly enough there are a small few denominations who have twisted Gods word to make it seem that God wants everyone to be rich and powerful. Their religion has lost sight of God and is based on worldly things like money, but in general most churches just need to meet basic expenses.
