Why is my phone not letting me call anyone?

I hardly ever use my phone for making calls, and just today, it's not letting me make any calls and says, "emergency calls only" thought I had unlimited calling to cell phones, and even if i don't, as I sad, I hardly ever use it! Help!

The 'emergency call only error' in a cell phone emerges when one is trying to use a switched off phone, or when it has a network issue. Try to reset it and if it does not work, contact your service provider.

its outta minutes probolly or something broke in the mother borad i would bring it to radio shack to see whats wrong with it

If its a smart phone phone it could be set on airplane mode.
