Why do have to learn about the old days ( in social studies class)
History is important so that humans learn from our mistakes and don't repeat the past.
i ask that to myself everyday when i get thrown out of history class...
Because it's history and it's part of social studies. It doesn't seem interesting now or even useful but much of it is.
The past is what built the present.
So you can go outside and talk to people without sounding like an idiot. Imagine if someone asked you what the Revolutionary war was, I'd be weird.
because in order to understand where you are whats happening around you now and in the future you must understand how YOU came to be where you are at this moment in time ya gotta know the past to understand the future
You are aware that you don't HAVE to learn stuff, right??You can choose to remain ignorant and fail all your classesOR you could just do the work that they are asking you to...
Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
To learn where you are coming from
History repeats itself
