On long hikes (whatever) in the wilderness, take with you a cup and a small sheet of plastic wrap or similar plastic. No water available. Find a shady spot, or shade the spoot you choose. Dig a hole in the ground a little deeper than the cup and bigger around than the cup but small enough to be completely covered by the plastic. Set the cup in the center of the hole, lay the plastic over the hold with the part right over the cup pushed down just a little (not touching the cup). Moisture will evaporate out of the ground, condense on the plastic, and trickle down to the low spot and drip into the cup. You have to be patient as it takes a while, but you WILL get a little water.
