in what kind of condition would a cell phone bought off ebay classified as "fair"

i am buying a used blackberry 8820 off of ebay. the site says fair condition. in a more specific manner, what kind of condition would the phone be in?

You should read the descryption about the items condition where the seller tells you if its scratsh or not. In my guess i think he meant to said that for the amount of money youre paying him is fair for how the phone appearances looks
