I'm into almost everything these days. Predominantly, I would list my favorite genres (a.k.a, the ones I know the most bands/groups/artists from) as metal (favorite sub genre's being heavy, thrash, speed, power, melodic death, and symphonic death. I refuse to listen to anything without a melody, however, so the greater majority of black metal is out, although there are a few excellent bands that break the mold), Rock n' Roll, classic rock, rock, classical, opera, neo-classical, bluegrass, jazz, blues, Spanish (as in flamenco and the like), alternative, some indie, darkwave/ambient, classic country, just a bit of modern country/country fusion, a dash of modern pop/dance, tons 80s pop/rock/dance, classic rap, and world. I'm also a fan of unusual- yet always melodic- music, such as the harmonious instrument mastermind himself, Linsey Pollak. I have watched that man play everything from a marimba to a garden hose to a potato. It's rather enchanting. Bagpipe bands or bands playing unusual music on their native instruments also always get me listening!
