Yes because of all these Social Networking Sites like Facebook (I am not on it so thank goodness) and video games are increasingly more popular and those sorts of kid things. There weren't things back then that were here today.
Even as a kid myself (teenager technically) I can say this with a definite yes. Not only because the standard of living has probably gone up but also because of the intention of new technologies that most people think they need to have and therefore their kids. It's also because and this part is my opinion, that people have become a bit impatient especially because with all this fast food, new technology and things we're used to getting things right away so that when kids start to act up or beg for things some parents instead of just waiting for them to get tired and stop give them what they want to stop their pleading. I hope that helps. bye. --End--
Yes you are absolutely right. There are many factors for this and parents are more responsible for this. Too much liberty, money, lifestyle, uncared, negative approach of parents, T.V. drugs, alcohol. girls, etc.
As everyone is busy talking about how spoiled kids are today allow me to tell you about a group of kids that I have worked with for years. They adopt children from a battered children's shelter for Christmas, they earn their riding time by working with the horses and in the barn. They hold an open house at the barn each dec as a community gift for everyone who ever wanted a pony for Christmas. They spend upwards of 60 hours a summer volunteering for special Olympics, they take horses to schools to teach children, they hold food drives, voter registration drives and generally work their butts off. Are kids today spoiled? Maybe some but there are also some extraordinary kids out there.
