When you restore your iPod how do you delete the previous settings provided if you don't choose " set up new iPod"

when you restore your iPod it allows you to set up as new iPod or restore from an old setting how do you DELETE. those old settings

As far as I know, all settings and data are usually deleted when you restore your iPod. Therefore, after restoring your iPod the previous settings will not be there.

Just plug it in and then hit restore.
