i had this issue too! When i would try to print, the strongvault installer would pop up. I searched google and i came to a thread. someone posted this link: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

Steps:
1-Click on the link: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall
2-click on "Run now"
3-Click on "RUN"
4-Once it is loaded, click "Accept"
5-"Program install and uninstall troubleshooter" will come up, with 2 options, click on "detect problems and apply fixes" It is the recommended selection.
6-It will load, and will ask you " Are yo having a problem installing or uninstalling a program" Click on UNINSTALLING.
7-It will produce a list. look at the list and look for "strongvault online backup" click on it,
8-It will load and once it comes up it will say"problems uninstalling" but it will say it was fixed! and VOILA! that is all!

It fixed my problem! :) good luck!

I used this method after uninstallng Strongvault but it said the fix failed. I opened up Tas Manager and found 2 Strongvaults. I then opened up the registry (Regedit) and Strongvault was already opened by MS Uninstall program. I manually deleted all the Strongvault files and rebooted my computer. Looks good so far but I'm being cautious now.

Strong vault online backup is considered to be a service in which backup of data is offered under an online platform. It has slowly become popular to industries that deal with high amount of data. It is probably not loading since you do not have enough space or it is not supported. Therefore, check the requirements to have it.

I am having the same problem on my computer. I never tried to install or download this product. I have found modules on my computer in my User folder. I deleted them but the message still comes up to install this product when I press CNTL E. It acts more like a virus than a legitimate product. How do I keep this thing off my computer or get it off my computer?

Strong Vault On Line Back Up is Scamware. You will be bombarded with deceptive pop up ads purporting to be from legitimate companies like Adobe. The pop up ads care complete with Adobe logo & look like the real thing but will just load you down with even more adware/spyware/hijackware. Getting rid of Strong Vault is difficult & it must be removed like the malware it is despite their claims of being a legit company. Anyone that trusts scammers with their backups is really just asking for everything PC related to turn brown & stink. Strong Vault also infests with Stronghold messenger an aptly named adware/spyware scamware of deep concealment & secret roots. If you succeed in getting completely free of this loathsome stuff please share with the rest of .us. The simple methods listed have so far not been sufficient. Strongvault/Stronghold is a truly devious company. If you haven't downloaded their "Free" scamware do yourself a favor. Run for your life!

Hypermyke, you are totally correct. Strongvault is total garbage; until downloading it I received NO spam on my email address, now get 20-30 a day of everything from free samples, fake courses, and loathsome p--- from every possible source. I wish I had a radar seeking missile to send through cyberspace to take out the people who infested my computer.

I was first introduced to Strongvault via a PDFlite download. To my surprise I received much more than expected. One being Strongvault! I tried uninstalling it, and three other programs, but to no avail! It was like groundhog day!! I was certain that I had really screwed up because I could not uninstall the program(s). I read some online forums and came up with a Microsoft fix that really worked. I'm not that computer savvy but it did help uninstall the programs and hopefully any possible spyware/malware! I use McAfee AVS and my computer seems to be running normally! I went to http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/ and 1. Chose "Top Solutions". 2. Install or Upgrade Software or Hardware 3. Fix Programs that can't be Installed or Uninstalled. I had to run the program twice for Strongvault. Good luck!

I have it on my laptop too! I found a folder with the strongvault app inside but it wont let me delete the folder it without "confirming operation" in a pop up so i didn't. And when i try to uninstall the program it tries to gain access so i denied it and so it didn't uninstall. I don't know what to do, strongvault's been popping up since 8th december. For those of you who have gotten rid of it, did you do so by following the instructions at the top of this thread?!!

I'm a quad-core... an issue, compounded by the 64bit arc supposed to give me the 8gigs in RAM my mother supports maxed rather than the 4 32bits can hump
I skipped a couple of cycles of "the newest thing" that's mirroring the hi-fi run where mono to stereo was obvious but pretty soon it was easier to see the label info changes than actually hear the difference
Now you don't get a damn thing for your critical software but some "image" that's on a partition you didn't ask for and the one time I needed it it was when the hard drive burnt up in the pos laptop that became the first drive I ever lost that I couldn't get at least some data off of before trashing
The Program Files folder has friends now... an x86 flavor in C: and a WOW64 cousin in the Window$ dir and the wrong "app" in the wrong dir may as well be a virus
The background problems kicked in many days after I wiped it but performance dropped until a BSoD restart tried loading 26 VGA drivers at once then did a x3 attempt to conn to Strongvault, ergo I share

When I couldn't uninstall, I found the strongvault and stronghold (related? should be stranglehold) folders in Users/(me)/AppData/Local/. I used TaskManager to kill the program smessenger and was then able to delete the folders. Can purveyors of malware like this be prosecuted?

I downloaded the free program Gimp and afterwards realized Strongvault was installed.I uninstalled Gimp with no problem but when I tried to uninstall Strongvault through the control panel it would only prompt me to install again. I found this link in the forums: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall
First time I tried it didn't work when I repeated it a second time it uninstalled Strongvault with no problems. What a pain.

strong vault or strong hold..doesn't appear on uninstall list.no file or folder turns up in search. it installs itself in a separate folder under Apps.open the folder and delete 7 or 8 files, then go back next day and delete more till the folder is empty.clean your registry with Comodo or another similar. believe me, i tried every conventional method before this desperation move with no success. Worked.
