My male cockatiel has a huge lump on his chest. What do I do?

I have a male cockatiel and his chest is covered with feathers so the lump doesn't notice. But one day when I blew on him, I could see that he has a pretty big lump on his chest and it's a different color than the rest of his chest. It's a pinkish color. I lightly touched it to see if he felt pain, and it's extremely soft. More softer than the rest of his stomach. So the lump on his chest is pink and way too soft. What is it? What do I do? I don't want my bird to die!!!
