Is it legal for me to form my own country?

Check out Sealand: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principality_of_Sealand
It's not quite a country, but it is cool. I have citizenship of Sealand as well as the US.

I heard of that country......how did you get citizenship?

For a monetary donation to Sealand, I was granted citizenship and given the title of Lord. So, from now on you may call me Lord Lowheadroom.
Report as
I'll definitely do that....that makes you real life royalty lol

Another cool thing to do is purchase a small piece of property in Scottland. I bought a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of property and deeded it to my Goddaughter. That gives her the title of Lady or Baroness, which gives her the legal right to be called Lady Gracie and that's exactly what I call her.

wow I'm impressed.....you're even more awesome than I thought lol

Here's where I bought mine, it's pretty cheap: http://www.highlandtitles.com/

I've bought quite a few for gifts.
Report as
Wow lowheadroom.. thanks for the information. Its very cheap as you said, but is it fraud?
Report as

Nope, no fraud involved. I really checked them out through other sources and they are a legit company with total ownership of the land that they are selling.

I don't even think that's possible currently, let alone is it legal..We don't need anymore places to cause war, we have enough going on.

I think someone has already done that . That's the story with Sealand. Well there are lots of land free in Antarctica. You can start up your base there.

great ideas
Report as
No you can't. Antarctica is international territory. The UN determined that no one can own Antarctica.
Report as
UN never said he cant rebel? Gators, start your own country in the south side of Antarctica. I would say UN will be least bothered, unless he can survive :P
