Reading an author's art work creates a closer tie bond between a reader and the author. It creates a picture of someone who is narrating to you his ordeal or account, or may be his advice to you. Anyone one would love to know something deep about such an author just before engaging in his piece of mind for a couple of days that would follow.

Because some authors relate their stories to their own life. By knowing a little bit of information on an author may help you understand why the story or poem was written.
