How much water should I drink a day?

I'm 6 feet 3 inches weigh 200

Eight glasses per day equals about 64 ounces. That is approximately a half gallon of water, but you can get water from the foods you eat, so you don't need to drink it all. Juices, vegetables, and fruit are good sources of water. If you are thirsty, it is your body telling you that you are not meeting the requirement for the water you need. I have found that when I am dehydrated that my thinking is flawed. Keep your fluid levels up so your brain will function properly and the rest of your body will benefit as well.

I do 6-8. But you can get that from juices and teas too.

Yeps, but I cannot drink more than 3 actual glasses of water, I need to cheat drink with ice tea mixtures or crystal light mixtures for the other 3 and then I have 2 cups of green tea/regular tea. I read coffee even counts nowadays.

Most people would say 8-10 glasses of water should be sufficient. But there are other factors to consider such as your overall health, activity level, and climate. If you are active, i.e. exercising 3-4 times per week, try this equation, your body weight times .60. For me, I'm active so I drink about 112-116 ounces a day which is almost a gallon of water per day! Now I don't always hit that number each day but I come pretty close most days and sometimes go over on others. That's a lot of water but again I'm active and I live where its hot most of the year, so drinking that much water isn't as hard as it sounds. I've also noticed that drinking water keeps you full longer and suppresses appetite, so you have a free weight loss supplement! If you are not used to drinking that much water, you will have to go to the bathroom a lot but eventually your body will adjust.

Oh thank gosh my body adjusts to the water cause these past few days I've been peeing like crazy but how long does it take ?

I would say probably about a month or two. And you should drink anywhere from 8-16 ounces per hour. If you try to drink a lot of water all at once, it will just go right thru you and you will have to go to bathroom often. Also if you have no food in your stomach and continue to drink a lot of water the same thing is going to happen.

They say you should drink 7 glasses a day, but that is for all sizes. I think scientists should research for different body sizes. Mean, a baby shouldn't drink 7 glasses of water!

cut your weight in half, so 100 and put that in ounces so 100 ounces. Honestly that means twelve glasses of water a day. it sounds like a lot but if you substitute some juices or soda for water it will be easy

from what i heard from my mom, divide your weight by 2 and that will tell you the amount of oz's of water

drinking lots of water helps you lose weight, but not if you also drink a bunch of coke. once you start drinking water a lot, you can immune to it and you might perfer it. instead of 8 glasses, (which can be misunderstood because there are different sizes of glasses) DRINK ABOUT SIX OR SEVEN WATER BOTTLES A DAY

The rule of thumb is 8 - 8 ounce glasses per day of Water...but if you are doing things that dehydrate you...then you need more...Dehydrators...caffeine...add an 8 ounce glass for every serving of caffeinated beverage or alcoholic beverage you consume...Profuse sweating...drink when you are thirsty (Water is the best or a sports drink). Also the 8 - 8 ounce rule is for the average weighted person...if you weigh more, you should drink more. The human body is 70% water...so you must stay hydrated for everything to function properly! I aim for about a gallon a day...

All natural foods naturally contain water. If you feel thirsty, then you are already dehydrated. There is no right amount because it depends on what you ate (soup, stew, watermelon, apple).

Drink at least 8 ounces a day, and make sure that your pee is clear. If you find it turning yellow, drink more water, but not too much because you don't want to get sick.

3 to 5 liters of pure water every day. Water includes almost all vitamins that needed your health.But more than 5 liters in non urgent cases is not necessary.
