Why does sponge bob suck so much now

the first three seasons were great but now sponge bob is gay and dumb why did this happen??

the origional writer sold the show and commercial writers are used now

All sponges suck, that's why they work well, otherwise you'd just be pushing the spill around

Once a program goes beyond the first season...7-13 episodes...it is hard to keep the ideas fresh and new. Repeating the things that made it interesting in the first place, only with minor changes doesn't always guarantee a funny, or interesting situation. You also get used to the routine of the characters and that can become boring.
