Legacy Assured Delivery sent a letter stating they had a failed delivery of prize money to us, they want to deliver is this a scam?

It sure sounds like it.Because,go figure,if you really had won money, you would have it now, instead of some twinkie letter telling you you dont have it.Next they will ask you to PAY something for some reason, like to MAKE SURE it gets delivered.Nickel and Dime con men.Thats what they sound like to me.

I received a letter stating I had won $829,919.00 and I needed to send $20.00 for required claiment fee. I know "if it's too good to be true it usully is not.' But on the other hand, nothing is free. I sent it back and stated that I will be happy for you take the fee out of my winnings..

If they ask you for bank account numbers, credit card numbers, or ask you to pay any money then Yes, it's a scam!

The Assured Legacy program you are referring to is a wonderful program that continues a monetary gift to grandchildren on their birthday and holidays from their deceased grandparent. The company in question is Legacy Assured Delivery, which seems to be a sweepstakes/scam of some sort.

My supposed check is for $829,919.00 how many other people have the same guaranteed winning amount.

I also received the same letter regarding a guaranteed cash prize check claimant documentation of 829,919. It would be nice, but I have my doubts... on the back it says something totally different, the odds of winning 1:1 win .91 cents, and the other odds are about as good a chance as winning the lottery. I have a feeling the get their $20 and you spend the price of the postage stamp and receive a check for .91 cents...

Those were my thoughts as well, when I received my check for $829,919.00. However, I did not get a chance to check it out as it was after the November 1st deadline, when I received the letter, to claim the prize. Did that save me $20.00 or lose me $829,919.00? Hopefully, the first one as I hate to think about the latter!

I think that was a very wise choice you made. I too got the same letter as well as many others.

What a coincidence... I also received a notification with the exact same amount. Problem is where was the first notification dated July 15, 2013. there are so many people/outfits out there that prey upon well intentioned people... did I mention naïve. Thanks for the heads up.

I just received a letter today with a destruction deadline of March 5th. It also was for a check amount of 829,919.00 and I would send the money immediately if there were someone else out there who has actually received a check after sending in their 20.00 delivery fee.

I've always heard that if I win, I win and that if I am asked for money then it probably is not real. Although, ruthkioi9 has peaked my interest.

If it was real they would deduct all fees before giving the check to you .Re: taxes or delivery fees and legal fees. No actual cash should leave your hands if it is legit, Maybe your signature allowing the deduction of such fees and to finalize your receiving the check. Oh, one more thing did you actually enter anything or did someone die ? Why did you win of all the people in the world ? Did they just like your name? NO, no, no,

I didn't request or entered anything to be on this list. If you have to send money you know not to believe them. These people are making to much money for sending these letter for the cost of a stamp. trust m it's a scam. I checked it out I found no one who has gotten a check no where.

Keep your money if it don't make sense it can't make you any dollars but them. Count the math $20 per fool that send it that's how I see it. If I'm wrong someone show me.
