How does a doctor tell if you have a hernia? I know you cough, but what happens when you cough, do they move or something when you cough?

doctors please take a look at this question.

A hernia occurs when the contents of a body cavity bulge out of the area where they are normally contained. When you cough for the doctor they can feel the pressure of this movement of the hernia area. Its like a bulge area that will protrude outwards.

What they need to happen is for your muscles to push down and try to fill if the contents are coming out. The easiest way to create this pressure is to have you cough.
There are different types of hernias and can be detected different ways being sight, feel or electronically.
