I'm 19 and I still go trick or treating. It's all on YOU, it's when YOU think you are too old. But for me, Halloween is my favorite time of the year. It's when you can let all of your creativity come out and your imagination run free and the way I see it, as long as you still have an imagination and enjoy the dark magic and perks of Halloween, then you are never too old!
I think i will always go! it is free candy you cannot pass that up! Plus when you get to be like 18 the really cool costumes you wish you fit into you can wear!

I feel your only too old when you feel your too old. I took my kids out and about when they were 13 and 14 and for fun and their enjoyment I dressed up with them to walk around and I had an older man grumpy as all heck look at me and say aren't you guys a little too old for this in a most serious voice! My kids wanted to crawl into the car out of embarrassment after I coaxed them into knowing that it was ok for them to go. I was soooo very angry! I looked at him and said no your only too old if you feel too old. You can always be young at heart and who says Halloween is just for kids? What about all the adults who dress up for the occasion and does not looking at all the awesome costumes out put a smile on your face? I hate people who say your too old. Those are the ones who have no life and need to get off their high horses and take a look in the mirror. Let the kids have fun for as long as they want and personally I feel that after the children do trick or treating that then it should be time for the adults to do their rounds afterwards. That would be awesome to have an adult trick or treating time LOL

As far as I'm concerned, as long as someone is willing to dress up it's fine with me if they come to my house trick or treating. The only thing that bugs me are the teenagers who want free candy but can't be bothered to make even a small effort at putting together a costume. My son says he can't trick or treat this year (he's 16) because too many people told him last year that he was too old, and he was embarrassed (he had an awesome costume). It makes me sad. He used to love Halloween and now he has these bad memories from his last time trick or treating, from all these judgmental people making rude comments. So everyone, dress up and come to my house! I'm handing out full-size candy bars again this year!
