SO. Who wants to go on a sailboat ride? And WHY did the Captain of the HMS Bounty go out into Sandy?

They left New London, CT Friday. Sailed directly in front of a Hurricane and sank! This morning the USCG rescued 14 of the 16 aboard. They are looking for the other two. Several dozen CG personnel and the crew have been placed in danger. Who wants to be the first one to rip the 'Captains' license into little itty bitty shreds?

Ships are safer at sea during storms. In port the storm would destroy the ship by beating it against the docks. I understand the ship lost its generator which may have prevented them from sailing properly. This was a replica of the Bounty so there was electric operation controls.

Still stand by that inane comment about the safety of 'ships in port' when commenting on a 52 year old relic???
