What should I name my character?

I am writing a story/novel, and I still don't have snake for my main character. It's about an African boy, who is orphaned and sent to his uncle in England. Im looking for an African name, but not too distinct. Maybe an African/American name, or an Arabic name..please reply ASAP. Thanks

"African" is not enough of a description. That's like asking for a "North American" name. He could be a Spanish-speaking Morrocan, a French/Arabic/English-speaking Libyan Muslim, an evangelical convert from Nigeria with a Christian name like Joseph or Paul, a starving refugee from Somalia, a young hunter from a tribe in Kenya, a rich white boy from South Africa, etc. Please be more descriptive than "African".

If he is from a North African country he is likely to have an French/Arabic/Islamic name. If he is from Central/Southern Africa, he is likely to have a more tribal-sounding name. If he is from West Africa, he very well may have a French or Dutch name.

In college I knew a kid from Uganda and a kid from Kenya and their names were Uboti and Lusala.

*a young kenyan boy from the poor areas of Kenya Africa, with Muslim heritage, though religion is not mentioned.
