God -- according to theology -- is a spirit. And, a spirit is neither supposed to have a tongue, nor a vocal cord to speak or for you to hear!! However, in the olden times a few designing impostures had pretended, and they tried their best to have us believe in such monstrosity, that the sound of thunder was the sound of god. It is funny though to notice that none of such conferences or conversations has ever been witnessed by ANYONE except the one claiming such absurdity!!
you will find that when God actually physically speaks to you, its a bad thing because he is pissed, listen with your being instead of with your ears, and pay attention to your surroundings, God is a more a man of action than words.
God does speak to people today. First, God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Second, God speaks through impressions, events, and thoughts. God helps us to discern right from wrong through our consciences (1 Timothy 1:5; 1 Peter 3:16) We hear His voice when we spend time in prayer, Bible study, and quiet contemplation of His Word. The more time we spend intimately with God and His Word, the easier it is to recognize His voice and His leading in our lives. We should be so familiar with God's Word that when God does speak to us or lead us, it is clear that it is God. God speaks to us so that we may understand truth.http://www.theabalonekid.com/id147.html
Technically he doesnt talk to you. Life goes on and if something good happens, it was God's will. If something bad happens, it was God's will. So pretty much God is always talking to you and giving you "hints" like a terrible girlfriend and if you cant see it (like me) then he breaks the relationship with you by sending you to hell. Awesome.
