Difference between available credit and credit line

For example, My credit line is 1520. The available credit is 600. I just use my credit card for 800. It's already excess the available credit that I can use. but the payment for 800 is still pending, which is this mean I am over use already? I thought if we didn't excess the credit line will be fine and no fees charge etc? I want to understand is it mean the available credit is what I can use for now? or if it's ok to use within 1520? By the way, I am using BillMeLater. any suggestion? I am a student, no jobs, so I don't think a immediately upgrade on credit line will be allow? please advice. I was thinking to deposit the money in there, but not allow to pay the amount that is higher than the last payment!! Please please help. thanks

Hon, you are in trouble because you don't understand the world of credit cards. How are you going to pay for the bill with no job? The interest rate potentially, will shoot up if you are late on a payment, then you'll be lucky to make minimum payments. Credit line is the very most you are authorized to borrow. The available credit shows how much you still have left to borrow, in this case it means you have used 920 already. Be careful, they will add the interest and fees in to how much you have borrowed and that will send you over your limit easily. If you borrowed $900. which you have, and the interest is $180, you have that much less in your available credit; meaning you have now borrowed $1,080.00 and only have $440 left.

I do not understand the last part of your question, so can't help you with that. Advice: cut up this card, don't use it again, pay it off as fast as you can, and don't get any more credit cards until you understand them and have a job to pay the bill. This is heading for a disaster for you and your credit rating. Good luck, if you have a bank account, or credit union, I suggest you go in and talk to someone there to help you understand what you've got yourself into.

Thanks for your answer, I call up to the credit card company, and it's their mistake for not updating the data yet, I am not over the available credit balance yet, which make this totally opposite, thanks for all your consideration. I think my sentences on the question has been misunderstood you, I am sorry. I don't mean I have no job no money to pay out my credit card, but thanks for your care. :)

Available credit what you have available on your credit crd line of credit etc to spend .... A credit line is a revolving loan that you can borrow from. It works almost exactly the same as a credit card. Hope that helps!

Koichan is right, credit cards should only be used in emergency situations, pay it off as soon as you can or you could end up paying $3000. for $800. in charges.
