what does it mean when your religion is Jehovas Witness? what do they celebrate?

Report as

To answer your question, if you research how each holiday began and whether or not they're approved by God, you might be surprised. It's not easy to stand up for your new-found beliefs, but worth it if you're pleasing God. And for sk8rdude- if you knew something very important that you believed would save lives, wouldn't you share this? Also, Jehovah's Witnesses celebrate/commemorate the time of Christ's ressurection. He did say, "Do this in remembrance of me". For more info, check www.jw.org. Have a great day!

For years she wouldnt let us celebrate any holiday, including Christmas, in the office (a small non-profit). She refuses to join us for birthday celebrations, etc. Shes only just lightened up a little the last couple of years.

We still have fun and celebrate things, I'm sorry you have the wrong idea about us.

Jehovah's Witnesses celebrate wedding Anniversary, wedding receptions, graduations, personal accomplishments, baby showers, house warming parties, we also have congregation picnics, on top of that we have many congregation gatherings. We have a lot of things to be happy for, we don't feel deprived from not celebrating holidays, we still have fun and enjoy life.
