Im 15. Do you think my dad should let me get behind the wheel this weekend?

Just to try and get the hang of it. I'm not saying to an actual place but somewhere where there is no cars and it's just my dad and I.

Well, if you're out somewhere away from public streets (like on private land) I think it would be ok. Lots of people do that with their kids on farms and such.
Try not to be too nervous & have a good time!

No it would not be smart on his part my son is 15 years old and there is no way he is getting behind the wheel of my care until he is legally able too. Not good sense on your part.

How old do you have to be to get your permit? Have you taken drivers Ed classes - in the classroom? Having said all of that, yes, I do think you have to start learning to drive. Are there any really large, empty parking lots around? That would be a good place to start.

My dad let me start driving around 14 years old.. But only on his 30 acres of land.
