Which brand do you think works best for back pain?

Aleve, Tylenol, Excedrin, IBUprofen or Advil?

ibuprofen 2 pills every 6 hours. Pain relief starts within 20 minutes and After about 2 days the anti-inflammatory kicks in.

I think aleve or Tylenol. Advil doesn't do anything for me.

Ibuprofen (which is Advil) works fine for me, but naproxen (Aleve) works good too, and I don't need as many. I don't bother with Tylenol anymore, and I've never bought Excedrin.

Besides the anti-inflammatories, try applying cold packs for 20 minutes once an hour. And, if you have a lot of trouble with backache, ask your doctor to refer you to a physical therapist who can teach you exercises both for proper lifting which can prevent backaches from occurring in the first place, and to strengthen the muscles which also affect your back.
