No. It's the difference between thinking you were masterfully designed and put here for a purpose, or you just randomly popped out of thin air for no apparent reason. What you believe about your origins will heavily dictate how you live your life.
i think that some aspects of it may coexist with the Christian faith, like how species naturally evolve to adapt to their environment, but the statement that we all came from a common ancestor is not compatible with the religion
It isn't traditional for Christians to believe in Evolution, no; however, if you do believe in some of the things that evolution shows and you are a Christian, then there is no reason why anyone else can tell you otherwise.. As long as you are still believing in and following what the Bible and God wants, then there should be no problem. And when it comes down to the "nitty-gritty", and "Christian" who is going to judge another person, let alone another Christian for believing such aspects of this belief aren't following their religion well enough when God tells them to love others and love neighbors and all of that. In fact, by judging they are pretty much saying that they are as good and as God because, God only has the power to judge..
Only if that Christian is a sensible, rational person. Evolution is as proven as anything gets in science. Denying it is just like denying gravity or the germ theory of disease. It's like believing in a flat earth or that the sun revolves around the earth.
Most Christians the world over accept evolution just fine. Creationism is a fringe belief found mostly amongst the uneducated in the Third World and, unfortunately, the extremely ignorant here in America.
I think it is, I mean who wants to say god can't do something this way. I believe if god wanted to do it through evolution, then he did : ) as far as I am concerned, he made us and that is all that matters : )
Pope John Paul II, on the 23rd of October, 1996, while speaking to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences plenary session at the Vatican, declared the evolutionary theories of Charles Darwin to be fact, tacitly acknowledging that man evolved from the apes, and reducing the biblical account of Genesis to that of mere fable!
I copied and pasted this from the internet!! Even the POPE BELIEVES IN EVOLUTION!!!!!!
If creation is true, then there is a Creator to whom we are accountable. Evolution is an enabler for atheism. Evolution gives atheists a basis for explaining how life exists apart from a Creator God. Evolution denies the need for a God to be involved in the universe. Evolution is the "creation theory" for the religion of atheism. According to the Bible, the choice is clear. We can believe the Word of our omnipotent and omniscient God, or we can believe the illogically biased, "scientific" explanations of fools.http://www.gotquestions.org/creation-evolution.html
