Is it true drinking cold water makes you lose wait?

Report as

NO!!!!!! If it did, there wouldn't be any overweight people. There's no trick or magic. You eat reasonably healthy, with excellent portion control and get good exercise everyday. This is coming from someone who has lost 75 pounds in the last 15 months.

No i mean your body burns calories in order to heat the cold water you drank.

did some research mate:
Specifically, a calorie is the amount of energy, or heat, it takes to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit). One calorie is equal to 4.184 joules, a common unit of energy used in the physical sciences
take that however you will

Ha ha. Thanks for the laugh. What is "losing wait", anyway - it makes no sense. You are 70% water and if you drink water you just add to your weight by that amount. Hot or cold, water is very heavy and your increased weight is worth the wait....

there is a very slight effect of Caloric burn due to fact that your body will use energy to bring the water to the Temperature of your body. however not the best way to lose weight
