Why are green eyes rare?
eye color is directly affected by a gene. a green eyed gene is a recessive gene, meaning a dominant gene (such as blue eyes or brown eyes) overpower that gene
Uh...they're not? I have a pair.
because the genes for it are not common
i thought blue was most rare
Because only 2% of the world's population has them.
it's because having green eyes is really a mutation of the genes between the blue and brown eye color gene, so it actually isn't normal. kind of cool, you can walk around saying, "I'm a mutant!!"
