Does the sodium content on canned vegetables include the water?
Yes, I know fresh is better, but I can't seem to get a straight answer. The food label on the can says XXX sodium. To my mind, that would include the water (as some people eat it, as is). But, I never use the water in the can, and completely drain it. Does that reduce the overall sodium? Or does the manufacturer label state the nutrition info based on the product already drained?
