Well there is a huge generation gap there. And I'd agree age doesn't matter when ur older. But at 18 I'd say it still kinda matters. An 18 yr old , even one mature for their age still has a lot to learn about themselves
They say age is nothing but a number, and many celeb couples agree to that term ( Beyonc?,Jay-Z, Demi Moore,Ashton Mariah,Nick) but everyone has their own different opinions and their are times when age differences get to the point were they are just plain creepy.
My daughter married a man 6months older then her dad he is crazy about her and she is him .it is up to the two people.yes I was upset at first, but seeing them together changed my mind.if everyone was as happy as those two their would be no break ups
By the time someone is 31, they have defined who they are, decided to settle down and have a family; not have a relationship with a high school student. That's red flag #1.
An 18 year old hasn't defined who they are, or have a clue as to what they will be.
Draw a line on a piece of paper. Now, draw another line that crosses that line. Where the two lines cross is where you ate today. But look further down the lines. See how far apart they are? That's your future.
The chances of this relationship lasting is minute. You will either be divorced, with his children; or finally married to Mr. Right beyond your childbearing years, wanting kids.
Let's say you have a child at 28 (not uncommon). He will be 41. When the child is your age, he will be 59, almost a senior citizen. He will qualify for AARP 9 years prior.
The odds are against it. Love may be blind, but reality bites.
I honestly can say that age does not matter. I'm 21 years old and my fianc?e is 37. That's a 16 year age difference and we're getting married in March. It takes teamwork to make a relationship work. You just have to find the right partner. We've been together since I was 18. And we couldn't be happier. They say a guy will know within the first year of a relationship if they want to get married. Proves true with mine. Good luck.
Age differences become less important as you get older. But 18 with someone so much older is not healthy. Reminds me of that creep Woody Allen dating & marrying his step daughter. What a creepy dude! And a lifetime older than her too. Yuk & double yuk! If both of you were 10 or 20 years older, then not so creepy.
