Factors like competition and other economic factors must be considered because they will affect one or more components of the marketing mix. If the price of competitor products is low, pricing your products, which are substitutes, will result in no sales. Demographics must also come into consideration because the product must target a specific niche. Finances affect the promotion part of the mix.
