I want to be a wide receiver in high school. Im 5'8 and i weigh 130 to 140 not in good shape. What should i do in my work outs besides run?

lots of sprints and foot work as well as hitting the gym. running helps with cardio but you'll have to be able to do alot of sprints in succesion in a game and theat can wear you out faster than just running. also stretching, before and after workouts. and last play catch, practice running routes and catching the ball.

go to the gym and lift weights everyday and i mean EVERYDAY...

unfortunatly running is the most essential workout for a wide reciever. hit the treadmill! or the stairs.

I agree with everyone I would add.... Do some core muscle exercises like crunches. Look up core exercises on the net. Good luck. And stick with it. I didnt
