If I have not been saved in my Christian religion (baptized), will I still go to heaven?

You the process in religion for you paster to put you under water also known as baptized. Will I still go to heaven if I am not baptized? And we use to go to church often now we don't. Can that too be a factor of going to heaven or not?

Saved or baptised? They arent really the same. If you believe in God AND in His son and you have whole heartedly accepted the truth of Gods gift of grace through the sacrifice Christ made for us then you belong to Him and will have a place with Him. Baptism is an important step to take AFTER becoming a Christ follower but it does not and will not guarantee you a place in heaven on its own. Baptism has no real meaning if you are not one of His first. Baptism is NOT salvation. Talk to your pastor or

In my my opinion God recognizes your daily thoughts & prayers of Him. Just by doing good things for others unselfishly, helps Him by taking the massive weight He must carry in promoting peace and goodwill on earth! Not being baptized by an ordained clergy member will not stop you from going to Heaven! :)

I was fortunate to have come upon a very special waterfall in a very spiritual place. It felt Holy to me. Although I was christened as a baby, I reached in and splashed several handfuls of water on my head and face. When I told a friend about my experience, he said it was ok to baptize myself!??? I don't know if that's true or not, but I certainly felt different afterwards.

They say what ever you do, it's the thought that counts not the action. After all, who baptized John the Baptist?

Don't trust anyone in this life who pretends he has the power to get you in or keep you from getting in.

Baptism is basically just a formal observance of professing your faith, and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior. When you kneel down, bow your head, and ask Jesus for forgiveness, acknowledge that God gave his only begotten Son whom died on the Cross for our sins, it is then that you become "saved", or will be welcomed into the Kingdom of the Lord. However, continuing to sin, especially with out repenting and asking forgiveness, and thanking the Lord for your many Blessing, can null and void your "saving". A Christian can serve and worship the Lord from anywhere, it doesn't have to be in a church. The church is a gathering of brotherhood to join and worship. I never really felt comfortable among a lot of people while I am worshiping, I have the same relationship with Jesus Christ, kneeling at the foot of my bed, as I would in a pew, or at the alter surrounded by others. Remember, read, and know the Bible. It is the guide book for all of us to follow while we live here on Earth. Romans 6:23 KJV-"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"

I don't mean this awnser to be rude at all, and I mean no disrespect by any means........
I simply do not believe in god or even the "fact" that Jesus even existed. There is way too many versions of the bible that does not make sense with any religion period..nothing from that science fiction novel has proven to come true....once again I hope I didn't offend any body..... I believe in a higher power I won't give it a name such. as God or Jesus for damn sure

Personally I dont believe in God either, but no one asked YOU what your religious beliefs are, so why are you here? IM here because i went to a private Christian school most of my life, and when i asked the principal this exact same question he didnt give me a straight answer, so i was curious to see what people on here thought. Im sure you wouldnt like it if they rammed what they believe down your throat, so dont come on here ramming it down theirs.

Baptism is not necessary for salvation. It is the initiatory sign and seal into the covenant of grace. If someone maintains that baptism is necessary for salvation, he adding a work, his own, to the finished work of Christ.

Baptism isn't what saves you. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is what saves you. Baptism us an outward sign if an inward change. As the bible says, the only way to the FATHER is through the SON.

In Matthew 28:19, 20 Jesus said: "Go... and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them… teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." Jesus was indicating that to get baptized one must have an accurate knowledge of God's Word (The Bible).

Before getting baptized one must reject ones former wrong course and determine what is right in God's eyes (1 Peter 3:21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). This is because baptism is a God-approved symbol of repentance (Acts 3:19; Ephesians 4:20-24).

It does not end after baptism, we must continue dedicating our lives wholeheartedly to God (Deuteronomy 5:9).

In John 3:16 we read that Jesus died so that whoever has faith in him could have everlasting life. This everlasting life is here on Earth. Many Bible texts that indicate that God's purpose has always been for man to live on Earth eternally (Psalm 37:11).

Therefore, if you wish to live eternally on Earth in the perfect conditions that God promises, you must dedicate your life to Him, do things according to His Word, get baptized, and continue your life in that path (John 17:3; 1 John 5:3; Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 33:24).

this might help.. John 3:16 God so loved the earth that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life. It doesnt say you have to be babtized; just believe. <3

AMEN!!! Well said. Period .

This might help . . . Acts 2:21 says, "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." It doesn't say you have to believe just call.
(So by your logic you don't have to believe. Or repent. Or . . .)

If your calling out to the Lord, that means you believe.
Report as
I can't find a scripture that states that belief is calling on the name of The Lord. Acts 22:16 is the closest I can get to that. "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."
Report as
Well why would you call out to somone/something is you didn't believe it/him or her existed.

Please see what God has to say about it. Many people can give you many different answers, but ultimately it is between you and God. His is the only answer that matters.
