I don't know you but I love you for this!<3 So many people are comitting suiside now a days. I have a friend who has anxiety problems, but other people don't know that. They pick on him for being sensitive, depressed, and all that stuff. It's truely sad. He always says he's going to commit suiside, even when others think its not a big deal. People don't know what go on in others lives. And its bad because people with anxiety really take things hard. Just one name like "cry baby" might make someone have suicidal thoughts. People always say they're against bulling but they do it anyways, maybe they dont relize it. It's just part of this sinnful earth.

I was bullied so much because of my acne, how shy I am, and because I'm not popular and pretty.

Bulling is something that some people do to, show off, feel proud, and have troubles at home

Well, I can share a personal story. When I was younger (elementary/middle school) people used to talk about me behind my back. They'd spread rumors that I was retarded, which I'm not. I have a physical disability, so kids just assumed. Now that I'm in high school, I'm constantly paranoid that people think I'm "not all there". It's made me excel in school to prove them wrong, but has also made me self-conscious and depressed for a time. Hope that helps :)

These answers are all true plus peer pressure can make one be a bully. But I think people with low self esteem, people who have issues with home life and need an out, bully, people who want attention bully, and people who are just born nasty or ignorant make life miserable for others.
Most people who bully are unhappy in their life....They need good role models at home and at school to get back to a good place.

Some people do bullying because they think its funny and so do their friends. So what you can do is stop, walk ,and tell

Being bullied sends you to a state of social awkwardness, insecurity, depression, and self harm. If you have any questions about why I say this just comment and I'll tell you.

I think bullies are insecure and stupid people that the only way they feel good about themselves is by feeling that they have a power over other people and by making other people feel bad and insecure!being bullied can affect a persons life tremendusly by lowering their self esteem and even making them feel depressed!there have also been suicides due to bullies

I believe most bullies are insecure and scared. They pick on others hoping that no one will notice how scared they really are.

My personal story:

as a child and having four brothers, we couldn't always afford the newest and latest things. It always needed to be on sale and on a few birthdays I didn't get anything. When I was wearing usually jeans, boots and a t shirt an other kids wore expensive brand name clothes, I got picked and made fun of. Kids started to call me 'Cheapskate' and I jut got used to it and I started to be able to reply more to that name than more normal name, which is saying something. Sense then, things have improved. People aren't insane anymore and I love my life :D

to be 100% honest, I cut a few times when I was 13. I stopped, don't worry. Sometimes kids would physically bully me though. Trip me and hit me. I wanted to end my life. I'm glad I didn't ;)

I'm so glad you were able to quit cutting and you sound like you are doing great. The good thing is that you will be sympathetic to others that are being bullied. Thanks for sharing, that probably took a lot of courage.

I was bullied by my sisters growing up. this was both emotional and physical bullying. Thank God I was not bullied in school because I felt safe there. I am now in my 50's and still have shyness and social anxiety because of their constant put downs. And they are still snobbish toward me. But now I just feel sorry for them because a lot of their bullying towards me was because of unhappiness in them. It still is.

My characteristics: Scottish, Female, early 40s, have worked for over 20 yrs.
Opinion - I have been bullied in workplace settings but was never bullied during adolescence/school years.

Experience: Bullying in workplace began to occur when I informed my line manager that I had been diagnosed with a serious health issue. I have my daily treatments outwith work time so they do not impact my ability to work and I struggle daily to ensure I am maintaining the same quality of work that i had before diagnosis. Despite this, I feel colleagues have lacked an understanding of my diagnosis/daily issues resulting from my health issues and as a result I feel low level bullying began. They no longer include me in all team meetings, tea breaks - think they just don't know how to talk to someone with a lifelimiting illness and I feel they would prefer it if i were dead already so they didn't have to avoid me.
