I heard a song played on Q104.3 that described rock history, and to a lesser extend American history - what is this song called?

I know this is vague but I really want to listen to this again. It was more like a monologue than a song.

OK I think this was from "Little Steven's Underground Garage" show.

Thanks John but actually I found it. The "song" was in reality Little Steven's (Steve Van Zandt) intro to that night's radio show (show #473 New Netherlands) and I caught it after he introduced himself.

You can listen to all his archived shows on his website - this one happens to be especially good.
