Does mouthwash heal dissolvable stitches in my mouth faster? if not what can help ?

Report as

Wait a minute, you're missing the point. The dissolvable stitches need to stay in place until they dissolve, by which time the incision will have knit together enough to hold itself together without the stitches. You don't want the stitches to dissolve too soon. Follow the instructions given to you by the dentist or oral surgeon.

Wow, I did read what you said. You said "heal dissolvable stitches." It sounds like what you meant was "heal the incision being held together by dissolvable stitches." Perhaps if you say more clearly what you mean, people like myself will understand you better.

You really don't want to hurry the stitches so they will come out. They stay as long as needed to close whatever was owned in your mouth. If you try to quicken the process you can get food caught inside which will attract bacteria causing infection and more pain than you would want. Give them a little more time.

I think listerine would kill any germs in your mouth, but it might hurt depending on what is wrong...

Gargling warm salt water would help with healing.
