I usually make jello with fruit cocktail in it, it's simple, but everyone likes it, we make peanut butter pie, coconut pie, and other types of pie, I always make oreo mudpie, it's my favorite, and sometimes cookies. This year we are also including chocolate and peanut butter fudge.(:
I hope this helps! :D

Pumpkin pie is a good dessert and a thanksgiving classic I believe. You can purchase them at grocery stores nearest you, not sure about recipes though.

My fiance an I are making these fruit pastry things. Not sure what they are called. All you do is take a pre made pie crust and cut it into 9 pieces. In the middle of each piece you put your desired fruit (raspberries & figs being our favorite), then drizzle honey and powdered sugar over the fruit. You then close the cut pieces of pie crust around the fruit and pinching the edges shut. Bake at 450* for about 20 min or until golden brown. After they are done baking you can sprinkle a little more powdered sugar over the top to your taste. They are DELICIOUS!! Hope this helped. good luck.

Well, don't forget the pumpkin pies... if you're not a pie baker, you can always buy the Pet-Ritz shells and put your pumpkin pie mixture in them (the best recipe is on the back of the can of Thank You brand pumpkin). And here is a link to a recipe I plan on making... it is so good, and a real showstopper looks-wise. It's called "Broken Glass Jell-O", and it's something you can easily make the day before. Just put it in a pretty clear glass bowl for maximum "wow" effect. http://justjennrecipes.com/broken-glass-jello/2007/04/29/

I'm afraid that is what I'm going to have to do this year... my oven is still broken. It croaked 6 days after the warranty expired (NEVER use the self-clean function on a stove!) and I've been stoveless ever since. I can put the turkey in my MIL's oven, but I don't really relish the thought of running over there 14 times to bake pies between now and then.

(Btw, thank you for commenting... I just now realized -- with 2 minutes to spare -- that I had neglected to put the link for Broken Glass Jell-O! Phew!)

I just made Rolo Brownies yum! Make any brownie recipe. When cool top with Carmel sauce like you would use for ice cream. Chop up 2 cups of Rolos and sprinkle on top. Make fudge topping with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 3 cups chocolate chips heated until melted. I used dark chocolate and semi sweet mixed. Pour warm fudge on top and spread.

Each year I make a different cheese cake....last year was a "Fall Favorites" cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, with a ginger snap bottom, caramel chocolate ganache topping, and roasted pecans for decoration! Don't know what I am going to do this year....thinking death by chocolate, Oreo crumb bottom, Hershey's chocolate bar layer, chocolate cheesecake, and a fudge topping :) YUM!
Cheesecakes are easy...3 packages of cream cheese, 3/4 cup of sugar, 3 eggs...3..3..3..easy math :) then mix in your flavoring and Voila! Cheese cake! Bake low and slow (300 for 30-45 min)

In some places it may not be counted as a dessert, but cranberry sauce is delicious and if you want to do it the lazy way you can just by a can of the stuff at Kroger and follow the instructions on the outside of the can.
