Which one is easier to clean and maintain, a black porcelain stove top or a stainless steel stove top?

Stainless. There is an easier chance of scratching or chipping the porcelain. Stainless usually costs a little more, but it is so worth it, because it is easy to polish and keeps it's "new" look!

I think that the porcelain stove top is much easier to clean compared to the stainless steel top. Porcelain has a hard finish and just wipes clean. The only damage that can happen to porcelain is you dropping something hard on it.
