help! can you get a car loan with Centrelink payments?

I really need a car to get to and from my parents house which is 6 hours away. I'm currently studying and receiving Centrelink payments. I am wondering is there anyway I can get a loan and pay it off with my Centrelink payments until I finish my diploma in 6 months and get a full time job. I also will be working over the Christmas holidays for an old boss? I don't care how much money I get as long as I get a car that runs :)

You can get a loan from non bank lenders, banks or micro-finance. This depends whether center link is your only income or you have some way of generating money. However, you need to be conscious before signing a deal that you are not comfortable with.

they may give you a loan but it won't be able very big one. maybe a grand or 2
