And Jesus said unto them, "Wrap NOT your seed givether in lubricated synthetic rubber, lest you earn the unforgiving wrath of the Father." I think that's in Matthew somewhere. Biblical scholars? Little help?
I'm a lifelong Roman Catholic Christian, who lives with his brother, Father John, who is our Pastor, here at St. John Catholic Church. 1. God spoke about artificial contraception, when the Vicar (representative) of Jesus Christ on Earth, Pope Paul VI, promulgated his encyclical, Humanae Vitae (On the Regulation of Birth), on July 25, 1968, predicting that, if artificial contraception became common, there would be: a. A general lowering of moral standards throughout society. b. A rise in (marital) infidelity. c. A lessening of respect for women by men. d. The coercive use of reproductive technologies by governments. All of which have come true. Humanae Vitae is at: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/paul_vi/encyclicals/documents/hf_paul-vi_enc_25071968_humanae-vitae/en.html Pope Paul VI concluded that, in keeping with the constant teaching of the Catholic Church, artificial contraception was against the Natural Law, was gravely wrong, and must not be allowed.
