Miniature Shar PEI

My Mini Shar Pei is 12 weeks old and has developed a growth under his left jaw. It started out small and is now the size of a tennis ball. I have had him to the vet and he is now on antibiotics but the growth is bigger and harder after three days. Any help on what this might be?

The cause of the growth may not be clearly identified unless he is properly diagnosed. You should take him back to the vet for proper check up. However, you can try another vet if you are not confident with the first one.

It could be a tumor. I hope that he gets better. If that tumor gets out of control, it could get cancer. Best of luck.

It may be a tumor or cancer so have your vet do an MIR to make sure
