In the army, which officer typically leads units in combat?

captain, leuitennant, major, etc?

Entirely depends my cousin was spec ops and a lieutenant colonel, now he's a colonel and out of combat for some reason

They all do, but a 2nd lieutenant in a bit of a more direct fashion, not always better
