When can a puppy start to eat. What should they be given.

All food offered should be puppy formula of course, start with a wet food or dry food soaked in a little warm water, then slowly convert over to the dry. Puppy food has added nutrients and things a growing puppy needs, the only exception to this is very large breed puppies, puppy food can actually cause them to grow too quickly which can affect their joints later.

The site is pretty busy with a lot ppl being off for the holiday so clearing and hiding stuff is taking a little longer, the best way to report probs is to use the flag system, and if that doesn't seem to be working just a post a question, something like Moderators, I flagged something but it is still up can you check it?

Putting the word Moderator into a Q or A will cause the system to auto-flag it for us so we are sure to see it. I am only here gen 4-6 hrs per day so it's best to do a general alert rather than trying to tag a specific mod.

Can't you start out by given them some kind of puppy formula milk or somethin like that that what my grandma gave her first dog

After being weaned from their mom, they no longer need milk. Whole milk can cause diarrhea which can result in dehydration. I know this happens in cats, so check to make sure. I sometimes give my cats Lactaid as a treat, no diarrhea with that.
