Is there any way I can get files from a Mac laptop off of my external HDD and place them on my PC laptop?

I have an external hard drive with movies, music, etc. from a Mac laptop but I have no idea how to get them to show up on my PC laptop. I don't want to have to buy a Mac computer just to use the hard drive.

Long as the drive is formatted as fat32 or exfat. fat32 is completely cross compatible with osx and windows but it's max size for a single file is 4gb, exfat doesnt have this issue but windows xp may require an update to support it, windows 7 is fine. OSX uses journaled natively but it is not required which is not compatible with windows, you can still get windows to load these files with special programs though.

You can transfer them using a USB drive or an external hard drive. You could also use a USB cable to transfer them. If you encounter any difficulties, you can get in touch with an IT technician for assistance.
