What i think you should do is make your parents aware.
Then, make sure she doesn't have a gun, or cutting knives or blades, or any pills she may overdose on.
She is your sister, and should listen to your opinion and advice. So, what you should do is tell her she doesn't need him.

"No girl needs someone, who doesn't need her."- Marilyn Monroe.

So there is no reason she should be upset.. That guy doesn't understand her at all.

Your answer is Jesus, my friend. He's the only one who can get your sister out of depression.

Some actual medication would probably be a more common sense response.

I had a friend who wanted to kill herself. All you do is be kind and help them by supporting them. If you show her you are there for you she will see shes not alone. Maybe try making sure she hangs out with her friends too. Hopefully this helps. im so sorry. </3

Give her a good slap into reality. Tell her firmly that this isn't the end of her life and she will move on and she needs to let herself feel sad and then eventually get over it.

Have a girls night out to show her that she doesn't need him and can be single and happy. you can also show her that she can talk to you and trust you with anything.

Honestly I've been through the same thing.... me n my ex dated for 3 years and we separated over some he say she say type of mess and I was truly in a slump behind the fact she wouldn't listen ...... and it seriously gutted me to my core.... in fact with the extra stuff happening in my life I was in such dression man... I was going to kill myself... even with all my friends and people in my life who care for me I was still going to do it but something clicked in me idk what but it was strong.... I say it was god stopping me an showing me that their is a shade of gray in my situation but maybe not.... though I do know u going to have to let her face this internal conflict on her own .... but u should be there for her like u been doing... im sure she'll come around..... might take a while but it'll happen and she's lucky to have a friend like u...

Teenagers need to get over relationships. A boy leaving her ISN'T the worst thing that's gona happen. Just give her some time and she will get over it

I suggest both of you getting involved in volunteering. Really. Homeless shelters, hospitals, spca. They desperately need help, and maybe a new perspective on life will help.

Tell your parents. If they don't know. And urge your sister to get help and let her know that she is loved. The best thing to give to a depressed person is your love and company. And letting them know that you're there to listen if they need to talk.

It's difficult watching a loved one suffer, and chances are nothing you say will cheer her up right now. This is going to sound corny so I'm warning you and saying it anyway.
People usually needs to work through their issues, learn the lessons, process what just happened, then move on.
If your sister is is more depressed than that it's time to share the warnings with family, and make a plan to keep her safe.
And if all that is way dramatic, give her a shoulder to cry on and do a lot of listening, hold back on suggestions and advise unless asked.

I know you have done all you can do and it has been very hard. She has a depression problem and it is not your fault. You have done everything you can to help her, but she needs medical help to get her out of her depression. She cannot do it on her own, depression is a physical illness affecting the mind and body. It is very a dangerous illness and requires a doctors care.

You are right to feel scared she might hurt herself, your feelings are right on about her not being safe. To help keep her safe, call the Suicide prevention hotline 1-800-273-TALK (8255) and tell them about your sister. They can help you decide what to do. It is good you have asked how you can help her, she is lucky to have such a caring and loving a sister as you.
God bless.

Wanting to commit suicide over relationship hassles is pretty immature. If your sister can't handle some fighting with her partner, she's gonna have it rough out in the real world. In any case, the only person who's going to be able to determine whether or not your sister needs professional help or medication is a doctor. Take her to see one.
