Since the Ask.com people took out the thumbs down, do you think people are going to flag people like they did with the thumbs down button.

I personally liked the thumbs down button because some people don't even answer the question asked they just randomly answer them.

Those random answers can still be reported with the "Flag" button on your iPhone app (those of us on the web site know it as "Report as"). You can also specifically say what the problem is, too. It's working beautifully!

Right with "nonsense" but do you think people will randomly flag others?
Report as
Nah. It takes more effort and thought. The game isn't fun anymore.

A lot of people like the thumbs down, but we had many people who just abused the privilege. Many of those thumbs down were unfair and uncalled for. Some people used them because they didn't like the answers they were getting, even if some of them were filled with really good advice, It just wasn't what they wanted to hear.

Eric--I'm sorry, but I don't happen to agree that it's "working beautifully" --except that people aren't getting red thumbed and upset. The "flags" do absolutely nothing. I've tried reporting crude language--and worse. Nothing.
The community standards are still being followed in a random and arbitrary manner.
You have many more poll type questions than ever before. When I flag them or mention them to a mod on duty, I am told that "this case was different"
How about the 25+ poll question on right now, asking if people like Coke or Pepsi? How would this one serve a "special purpose" and remain posted?
I can't think of a better example of a "poll question" !

whats wrong with pole type questions? where else can we get the answers to those from? I think they should lay off more on that stuff

It's spelled Poll
Not pole.
But you're right--it's just that when I post a question like that it gets pulled immediately! And they tell me it's a poll type question!
I just think they should be consistent with their decisions, that's all.
